Employee Spotlight: Jason Sydnor

Chances are pretty likely that if you were hired on as an employee of Evergreen after March 31st, 2008 you received an email from me welcoming you to the Evergreen Family. That makes me one of the first people you hear from before you start work for your rehab department as I send you the new hire paperwork. Besides getting your paperwork processed it is also important to me to ensure the payroll is processed in a timely and efficient manner so everyone receives their compensation on time.

When I started working in Human Resources that March it was amazing to me to see how personable all of the Administrative staff was to one another. The best way to describe the experience, I know it sounds cliché, but I felt at home. From top to bottom, everyone makes you feel welcome. I feel very blessed to work in Human Resources with Leslie Dearing, Christie Patrick (both of whom I had worked with before in a previous experience) and Lindsay Hammond. They are all very genuine and knowledgeable people with whom anyone would be lucky to work with. And if you knew them, you’d know I wasn’t kissing up just now! However, since I was given this unique opportunity to shine under this bright Employee Spotlight I’ll talk more about myself. ☺

So just some personal notes about myself to close:

I’ve lived in Louisville, Kentucky all my life and I wouldn’t change it for the world. The weather isn’t always pleasant, especially in winter, but I love how this city has a great mix of city and small town atmosphere. I’m also a big Louisville Cardinals fan. As far as college rivalries go I don’t think there is a better rivalry than the Louisville Cardinals and the Kentucky Wildcats. There aren’t many places you can go in this country where college sports, in general, are as celebrated. Since we have no professional teams in the state a lot of the fans root for a college they probably didn’t even attend! I’m also a huge, HUGE fan of music. I’m a singer/songwriter myself and I just love the different artistic expressions people take in their music whether it is rap, country, classical, rock or blues. One last thing about me is I really like to make people laugh whether it is with me or at me. It is just something I’ve enjoyed my entire life. Thanks to everyone for all their hard work and dedication. This is a really special place and I hope you all feel as welcome here as I do.
