I graduated from Maria College in Albany, New York. After that, I worked in acute and sub‐acute care settings, aquatic therapy, pediatrics, home health, and outpatient settings. I’ve also managed outpatient clinics and some contract therapy. I always felt that my place was working with sub‐acute, aquatics, and geriatrics. One of my main interests is manual and aquatic therapy techniques, and I studied and practiced them for five years before relocating to Florida in 1995. When I’m not busy at work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends. I also love traveling on vacation, especially on cruises!
I was initially referred to Evergreen Rehab by one of Evergreen’s COTAs, Michele Pichette. I was hired on as a staff PTA and I performed aquatic therapy in what is now one of the buildings that I currently manage – Manatee Springs. Eventually, I was promoted to Rehab Director of the facility. Most recently, I have been promoted to Florida Area Manager. It is a pleasure for me to work in management, and it’s made all the better by Evergreen’s excellent recruiting department. They are truly high‐caliber professionals.
One of my daily affirmations that I like to remember is that I am not above anyone else, and I should not expect anyone to do anything that I wouldn’t do myself. We all work as a team, and solid communication and mutual respect make everyone’s job easier. I am always excited to work with new facilities and people. One of my passions is creating and increasing caseloads while ensuring that we are providing the highest quality of therapy for our patients. I know that together we can continue to make a positive impact.
