ROX Mobile Roll-Out Continues
![]()
Last October, Evergreen Rehab conducted a limited roll-out of ROX Mobile, an iPod Touch application that allows therapists to carry up-to-date information on all of their current patients, including past session information, treatment plans, billable hours, and more. The feedback from our pilot group has been overwhelmingly positive, and we are excited about the ways in which ROX Mobile has aided our therapists in treating patients more efficiently. ROX Mobile allows point-of-service updates to patient charts and records, and helps to alleviate the accumulation of paperwork and notes that can occur throughout the work day by replacing them with a form of electronic documentation that is integrated seamlessly within Evergreen Rehab’s company-wide electronic documentation software, GiftRAP. The application has also been found to be especially helpful in larger programs with multi-story buildings. Therapists are able to complete the following activities using the application: ![]()
• Logging billing details of patient encounters
• Completing treatment encounter notes
• Clocking in & out (labor time clock)
• E-Signatures
• Sending/receiving internal messages
Redundant levels of system and device encryption ensure HIPAA compliance and patient privacy. Phase 2 of the ROX Mobile roll-out will be beginning in the near future with a few minor adjustments. Some therapists have noted that it can be difficult to type on the device with bare-hands, so we will be sending stylist pens with each and every iPod Touch that is shipped, as well as a cover to protect the device. Evergreen Rehab is excited to offer its employees a tool that will make their jobs easier while simultaneously improving patient care. Equipping our therapists with the most efficient and effective technologies saves time for everyone involved and allows our therapists to focus on what they do best – delivering high quality care to our patients.
